I love winter. And one of the main reasons is because I love winter fashion, ha! Bring on all my sweaters, jackets, boots and coats. Like my beloved orangy-red Monki coat. I could write a poem of my love for you! Some people have called it a fluffy night gown, but I don't care. They're just jealous.
I have been having the craziest work-filled weeks lately, but here's a quick update!
My dearest friend Olignne has recently started a fashion and style blog called The Bandwagon. And just as cool as she is, so is her blog. She is a fashion journalist in the making and is already finding her way in the blogosphere!
She was kind enough to include me in it, among other very stylish girls (=models), just to give me space to ramble (a lot) about what is in my mind when I get dressed up in the morning. Go have a look just here! I promise you will instantly want to be friends with Oli.

For quite a long time, I've been a big fan of simple outfits, brightened up by a piece of statement jewellery. Of course I was happy to see these last few season's boom of statement necklaces popping up in every single store and blog.
But since May, when I saw this post at A Pair and a Spare, in which Geneva (the DIY queen) explains how to bring the DYLANLEX sisters' creation to life, I've only had eyes to make/seek my own piece. I'm sure you've seen their pictures all around the world of Internet. But if you haven't, brace yourself.
I'm sure you agree with me here –I'd wear these everyday.
These sisters have opened their own shop, DYLANLEX, in which they sell their creations made to order. However, being $500-900 a piece, I had to sadly look somewhere else to fulfil my dreams.
And here's the ending to this story –I found this cheaper (but definitely less incredible) version online that I've just purchased. Hooray for pay day!

Chilling like a villain styling two-tone lips! |
Hello world!
While waiting for my freshly painted nails to dry, I found the time to finally post one of my latest outfits. I think it quite represents what my hands go for in my wardrobe pretty much every morning: baggy plain t-shirt, leather pants, flatforms and a statement necklace. Oh, the jacket's a bonus for the rare cold weather we've been having. Also, two-toned lips are a newbie for me. Have you ever tried it yourself?
Colourful, bright and busy day in Brisbane. |
We truly enjoy wandering around that place. There's always something new to discover! And with a population of just over 2 million (compared to Sydney's 4 million), it becomes a big city to happily get lost in, but not so big and overpopulated to feel too overwhelmed. I even bumped into two of my friends!
This time, we explored through the West End area, and our first stop was morning tea at The Three Monkeys' Cafe. A splendid choice.
About a month ago I arrived to my Australian home from a rather long period spent in Spain. I had saved up money for expenses during my time there. In my mind, those expenses would include mainly travelling, food and outings.
Now looking back, I have to admit that... yes, I did travel, and eat and go out. But mostly, I did a lot of shopping. And by shopping, I mean looting all the Zara shops I encountered. I would always use the excuse "but I can't buy Zara back home!" And yep, I could always convince myself with that.
